Bachelor Creek Ranch

Bachelor Creek Ranch is a non-profit, faith-based ministry founded in 2008 by the Peterson family. Children and youth can find here a nurturing environment filled with love, faith and the unequaled peace that comes from spending time with horses.

We founded Bachelor Creek Ranch after witnessing the awesome effect our horses had on the young people around them. Our first horse, Sis, was a gift from Scott's mother, and she truly was a healing bridge from the Lord. As kids started coming to ride her, we were amazed by their joyful reactions and we recognized the lasting, positive effects this horse had on these children.

We soon began to question why the Lord had given us our wonderful ranch home, and we knew it wasn't just for our family. At the inspiration of our then ten-year-old daughter, Amy, we decided to allow more kids to come to the ranch to work and spend time with the horses. It wasn't long before the Lord showed us that this was to be our family ministry.

Bachelor Creek Ranch is a place for kids! We welcome youth in the Yakima Valley to come to our ranch, free of charge, and experience the awe-inspiring connection we’ve discovered between children, horses and adults who love unconditionally. We are dedicated to fostering the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual growth of the children and young adults who spend time here.
